What: York County Rising Kickoff Meeting
When: Friday, March 7, 2025 | 5:30pm-7pm
Where: Upstairs @ The Mercantile | 153 E White St. Rock Hill, SC 29730 (Look for the beautiful murals 🎨)
Why: We’re stronger together! York County Rising was born from a small group of local organizers who decided to consolidate efforts for more impact. At this first official meeting, we’ll discuss group norms, priorities, and upcoming actions. (And then we’ll update info here on Substack!)
Prep: For the health of our community and each other, we do ask that you wear a mask. We will also be in a larger space and will do our best to facilitate airflow. Other than that — come as you are, and please bring a friend or two!

Next Action
Our next planned action is a rally in honor of International Women’s Day. Mark your calendars now for Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2pm in Rock Hill. We’ll share more information at our meeting next week and via the meeting follow up email.
While York County Rising is an unaffiliated local organizing group, we are plugged in with several larger organizations like MoveOn, Working Families Party, Indivisible, and more. These organizations provide guidance, infrastructure, resources, and support.
